Chandraghanta : Chandraghanta is the third aspect of the Navadurga forms of Mahadevi and is worshipped on the third of Navaratri. Chandraghanta means one who has a half-moon shaped like a bell. Her third eye is always open signifying her readiness for battle against evil. She has ten hands, nine of them are armed by a trident, mace, bow, arrow, lotus, sword, bell and a water pot, while one other hand blesses her devotees. She is seated upon a fierce tiger. She is the symbol of fearlessness and courage and is also known as Chandika or Rannchandi. Devi Chandraghanta is the representation of supreme happiness and satisfaction. She showers knowledge, peace, serenity among her devotees and gives them the feeling of fulfillment.
