Brahmacharini : Brahmacharini is the second form of Goddess Durga who is wprshipped on the second day of Navaratri. Brahmacharini means a devoted female student who lives in an Ashrama with her Guru along with other students. She is dressed as a female ascetic and is adorned by dried up Rudraksha beads and follows as her ornamentation. She has two hands both of which carried a rosary and a water utensil. The colour dedicated to Brahmacharini is white as she acquired the Brahmacharini avatar. She is also known as ‘Devi Yogni’ and ‘Devi Tapasvini’.
